Born and raised in Studio City, California Andrew started painting seriously when he was 16. At UC Santa Cruz he developed and individual major entitled “The Arts and Social Action”. Through this major, he created art exhibits and experiences in which participants were encouraged to interact with the art. Andrew continues to put himself in the middle of things, capturing the movement and the mood of landscapes and historical events. Andrew was artist in residence at the Vermont Studio Center in 2005. His work has been published in American Artist, in the Santa Cruz Cultural Council Calendar and most recently in the Catamaran Literary Reader.
